Catwalk Jewels
A potent blend of fashion, fantasy and the art of the jeweller, Couture or Catwalk jewels are one-off pieces commissioned by a fashion designer, and created by specialist artisans, jewellers or avant-garde artists, to underline the message and intensify the mood of a particular couture or ready to wear collection. Intended for pure adornment and theatrical high drama, Catwalk jewels inspire and innovate, breaking boundaries of reality and convention. Swarovski crystal has always been an essential ingredient in the art of catwalk jewellery.
Runway Rocks
Swarovski commissioned sixteen designers around the world to create their
ultimate vision for catwalk jewellery. The designers, all linked to fashion
and jewellery, were asked to find new expressions for crystal in jewels,
to experiment with forms, meanings and conventions of jewels today and
to merge fashion, body ornament and jewellery. Swarovski crystal was to
be the hero of each design:
